From Mike: Milestone on the road to the civil war.

Jeremiah 23: 9-12
Death by suicide.
For those who expected deliverance from national politics that glimmer of light is now extinguished. The GOP will now go the way of the Whigs, clearing the way for the enemies of the Republic both within and without the party. What will be left will merely be different speeds and paths to the next civil war. All meaningful politics are now local, and will depend in the end on the muzzles of our rifles and the wisdom and training of those who point them.

Hey, Mike, good to see you able to use your computer again.

Two quibbles:
1. Can we get Matt his own admin login account, like Dutchman7 or something, to make it obvious what he posts and what you post?

2. I can't find the expected link to what you're talking about. Is this about the Cruz campaign capitulation, and presumed Trump victory? I would give almost anything to see the death of our current two party system. The one thing I wouldn't trade for it is Chelsea's dream of her mother's SCOTUS repealing the 2A.

This reality has, unfortunately, been increasingly obvious for quite some time. Prepare, while you still can.

I don't think the GOP is dead. What has actually happened is that conservatives are not a part of it. The leadership of the RNC have turned their backs on fiscal and, especially, social conservatives some time ago.

There was still a remnant of the conservative wing until this primary election. We conservatives had a few representatives on our side. But Trump has shown the RNC where the bulk of the voters are. He has shown them that they don't want what Cruz was selling.

The other thing that is happening is that the direction Trump showed them to follow is a losing one. Trump has alienated conservatives and so have GOP leaders. Those who were alienated say they will not vote for Trump.

Hillary Clinton will be our next President - if she lives that long. It has been reported that her coughing jags are evidence of congestive heart failure.

The progressive Democrat named Donald ran as a Republican to eliminate any conservative minded person winning. A bakers dozen candidates flooded the field by media hype and that played the chords of the party instrument perfectly.

Like all democrats, Trump went unchallenged on substance throughout.. but that now changes. Media will now hammer him, starting with the self funding lie. Make no mistake, Trump is the duck set up to be shot down.

If he manages a victory, progressivism still attains victory and the progressive tax code remains. Sadly, all the corruption it breeds will remain as well.

Simply put... the American people really are stupid, intentionally ignorant. Gluttony for punishment it seems.

Unfortunately, Mike is quite right. It's important to use every possible tool against the growing totalitarianism, including federal electoral politics, and force of arms should always be the last resort (anyone who doesn't get this should return to the Declaration and study it carefully). But at this point, it's clear that we'll get a president who believes in unconstrained power and bigger government. It's an excellent time to read again Mike's Three Percenter Catechism. Think and prepare.

The global economy is already irreversibly collapsing. The calculus of our adversaries has settled, they do not believe it is necessary to do anything more than wait for America to run out of credit. They are, on the whole, correct.

Romney was deluded to imagine there was any way to prevent rather than mitigate the collapse 4 years ago. Now even mitigation can only be accomplished at the local level by private actors, there simply isn't any way for the bureaucracy to respond effectively to what is coming next.

Yes, it is a sorry state of affairs that the GOP should somehow have actually settled on the single most asinine character running, who is redeemed only by the fact that he is only pretending...but then again he's only pretending to be a Republican either. But it was partially assured by the failure of the party to recognize that their constituents sense that politics as we know it is incapable of solving any of the real problems we face.

And that realization is a good thing. The only hope any of us have left is to stop hoping the government can fix itself, let alone fix our nation.

I was for Cruz. Now I'm for Trump! If we don't get out and vote for Trump in November, we might as well vote for Hillary. Some didn't like Romney in 2012 and they stayed home. That got Obama re-elected. LEARN FROM THAT, PEOPLE!

I would rather vote Libertarian than compromise my principles voting for either R or D. Trump and Hillary are both disgusting.
Don't buy into the "a vote for a third party is a vote for Hillary" nonsense.

Anon-It may not be a vote for Hillary, but it sure as shit isn't a vote AGAINST her. Do the math and vote for Trump - last chance for the Republic!

A vote for a Libertarian is a vote for this:

http://www.ontheissues.org/Celeb/Libertarian_Party_Immigration.htm

Unrestricted political refugees; but restrict threats

Political freedom and escape from tyranny demand that individuals not be unreasonably constrained by government in the crossing of political boundaries. Economic freedom demands the unrestricted movement of human as well as financial capital across national borders. However, we support control over the entry into our country of foreign nationals who pose a credible threat to security, health or property.

Eliminate all restrictions on immigration

We welcome all refugees to our country. Furthermore, immigration must not be restricted for reasons of race, religion, political creed, age, or sexual preference. We therefore call for the elimination of all restrictions on immigration, the abolition of the Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Border Patrol, and a declaration of full amnesty for all people who have entered the country illegally.

That doesn't compromise your principles?

Super-Capitalist Trump vs Super-Feminist Hitlery. Now who would you choose ? NOT Hillary !

Trump screams about his popular vote totals - Because he is a DEMOCRAT at heart.

He is no defender of the government of Republican form. I will not be CONNED into voting for him....as yet another RINO.

No, that's not a vote for hillary. Stop that trite excuse for being conned. Just admit it, you Trump supporters are supporting a DEMOCRAT willingly...thinking you get to be on the winning team.

With trump, like with hillary, we ALL lose badly.

As I have stated................Trump is the worst possible candidate this cycle. EXCEPT FOR ALL THE OTHERS WHO RAN!

Instead of railing about what Trump isn't and meaningless platitudes about principles, evil and lesser evils, who ran that WASN'T a rino or a weak sister, that possibly could be any better AND have a chance to beat Cankles? And don't say Cruz, 'cause he couldn't even beat Trump, and was on the verge of losing to that clown Kasich!

Ted threw away any chance he had when he jumped on board the messiah/savior train with his father and crazy man Beck.
