With Cruz nothing changes. Same old RINO bullshit. The insiders line their pockets and the producers get lied to and screwed, and the stupid lazy people get their handouts.

What possible path does Cruz have to the GOP nomination? There is no Easter bunny. Even if Cruz were to somehow be leading in delegates awarded when the convention starts, there is ZERO percent chance that Cruz will have enough delegates on the first vote. Because of this, there is ZERO percent chance that the GOPe will EVER allow him to be nominated. The GOPe HATE Cruz. Anything short of 1237 delegates gets you Romney/Ryan. Even if I agreed with the author's opinion of Cruz (which I do not based on his affiliation with Karl Rove and Neil Bush), a vote for Cruz at this point IS a vote for Hillary.

Not buying your assessment Trump. From what I see all those against Trump seem to be the FSA crowd or their feeders. FSA = Free Shit Army! B-4

As much as I don't like Trump, to say that with Cruz things will be "good" is to believe in magic and pixie dust. Again, I don't like Trump and I seriously doubt I'll vote for him, but our BIGGEST debt issue isn't welfare or social security...it's medical care. It's eating up 1 out of ever 5 dollars in this country. Trump is the ONLY candidate who's put forth a proposal that will actually collapse the exponential growth of medical costs by 80% by simply enforcing *existing* anti-trust law.

"I refuse to get the sads when a dude in a John Deere cap who probably got shot at in Fallujah smacks some commie creep who crashes a Trump rally to set fire to Old Glory.

"Let’s be clear, conservatives: During this race, Trump fans are our opponents. But always and forever, the leftist scumbags of Occupy, BLM, MoveOn and their leaders like Bill Ayers, are our enemies, and if it’s a choice between the two I’ll side with the team that at least doesn’t hate America every single time. No equivocation. No hesitation. No regrets."

This isn't a race, it's a farce. Trump fans are, overall, the closest to recognizing that anyone can get while still participating in the process (except for Trump himself, who is actively helping make a mockery of the whole thing while fully conscious of the essential meaninglessness of it all). And when they finally are completely disillusioned this final time, I have hopes for them...but I want them focused on whacking commie creeps rather than people who took the political establishment a little too seriously for longer than they will have done.

But let's not delude ourselves that anyone running could be trusted with the kind of absolute power the Presidency now represents. We must fight the FedGov, no matter who runs it and for what purposes they proclaim it justified. Conveniently, at least for our collective cognitive dissonance, this year won't see a Republican win the election. But if one somehow did, that wouldn't really change anything important about what we're going to have to do to defend liberty.

I disagree, somewhat. With Trump I expect it to be a train wreck on the order of a fully loaded passenger train colliding with a freight train hauling numerous tank cars full of volatile, extremely inflammable and explosive cargo (both trains at top speed) at 2 p.m. in the center of a very populous city on a beautiful spring day.

With Clinton I expect the result to make Kosovo look like a kindergarten picnic.

Either way, it's gonna get mean, people. IT'S ... GONNA ... GET ... MEAN!!!!

Whether "good" is exactly right for what happens with a Cruz presidency is questionable -- the radical left is likely to revolt and the MSM and deocrats in Congress will support them; "hopeful" and "much better than any real-world alternative" describes it. At least we'll have a president who will take his oath of office seriously.

Cruz is not conservative. Neither is the GOP. They are just conservative enough to get what they want. They hand us a little piece of legislation in exchange for a little loss of our freedom and a trillion dollars in their trust account. Ive voted conservative my whole life. Even when the conservatives were the democrats. However it has gotten me nothing but loss of my tax dollars and liberty. Cruz is a Manchurian candidate. Just like the rest of them. The only one who is not is trump. I dont really like trump but he will get my vote.

I see a lot of optimism out on the street, but it's the sort that reminds me of an old joke:

An optimist falls out of a 60th-floor window. As he passes the 45th floor someone shouts "How's it goin'?" and he responds "So far, so good".

We passed the Point Of No Return many years ago. We're not going to wish our way out of this one.

How can anyone support helping Hillary by voting against Trump? You have only one choice, if Trump fails to get to 1,237 delegates, Hillary will be our next President. Cruz cannot get to 1,237. It is impossible. Cruz will not be the nominee. Hillary as President will seat not less than 3 Supreme Court Justices. You can write off your freedoms and those of your children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. It will take 100 years to undo the damage. Do the math and use your heads on this one. It is your last chance.

Cruz is a bought and paid for politician. You will get the status quo, same old bullshit with him and his Goldman Sachs banker CFR collaborator wife. Trump is the only answer and if he is not the answer then by God let the bullets rain.

The traditional SMARTEST people alive have the same thoughts. Krauthammer, Levin, Vanderwhatshisname...

They all still don't get it, perhaps they are too cerebral to understand that PURE conservatism, cannot happen without taking the first nationalism steps Trump offers. Pure conservatism and pure liberalism is just like matter and anti-matter, they don't mix or play well with each other.

We are not voting FOR Trump! We are voting against the failures of the establishments hold on power and voting for Trump breaks their tiny grip on the status quo.

And if that means a little nationalistic preference over globalization, a little borders, language, culture, then SO BE IT.

Without an armed revolution, the steps back to a strong vibrant America, will take at least as long as it took for the CINO (Conservative in name only) bastards to destroy it.

Voting Trump, and you can kiss my ass. Hell, keep it up, I may vote Trump twice.

The status quo in DC can't be tolerated any longer.
HRC will make the US a train wreck no doubt, NO fossil fuels will eliminate millions on jobs and raise fuel 300%.
Trump may bring back the jobs and working class seems like a better choice.

My biggest concern for this election: Who do we trust with all the power that has been ceded to the office of POTUS over the last 10 -12 years?
What would a Hillary, Trump or Cruz do with the destructive powers handed to them in the NDAA, the Pacific Trade agreement, the un-Affordable Health Care Act, etc? With the growing demands made on our budget, economy, (Through interest payments alone), and the GDP with all of the insane foreign and domestic debt we now owe?
If Trump wins and republicans somehow maintain a majority in congress, do they grow a pair and work with democRats to stymie Trump or Cruz after eight years of appeasing Chairman ObaMao? I doubt that would change if Hillary, our national cuckold, wins. If the demarxistRats take control of congress does Trump acquiesce to them, as he's done in the past, to get things done?
Someone commented earlier that Trump is showing everyone what a farce our elections and the American political establishment are. I believe that to be the most correct observation. Will it matter? It seems as though the table has been set for all out chaos no matter who wins.
The future political direction/s of this country are now running in diametrically opposite directions in regards to what the corrupt political D.C. establishment want vs what most other Americans would like to see. With Posse Comitatus out the window could it be that avoiding or quelling all out regional civil war will be the main task of who ever wins the white house in 2016? Who would best be suited to handle that? Certainly not the Wicked Witch of the West Wing.

What's wrong with nationalism?
Shouldn't we be promoting our country over all others? Isn't calling America the greatest country in the world and trying to keep it that way admirable?
Why, when someone enters the political spectrum with notions of America's grandeur, are they criticized as unacceptable? Not politically correct, I suppose.
I suppose loving this country makes me a nationalist these days. So be it. And if Trump is a Nationalist, he has my vote.

People seem to forget the President does not dictate. He can try but congress can still obstruct his actions. So Trump can say a lot of things, but following through with actions? Nope. Again for those saying Trump is the Savior or even "voting for the lesser of the bad choices". Look at his past actions. Supporting socialized gov healthcare for all. Supporting gun control. Supporting liberal causes. Supporting abortion. Supporting homosexual rights (including giving 30 grand for teaching 5 year old children gay sex is "normal". And teaching middle school age children "fisting" and "Man/boy" sex is normal. I don't care what he says NOW in front of a mic. What does he do with his money and support? There is NO one to "vote" for improving anything. It is over. I won't support Trump even if it gives hildabeast or commie bernie the big seat. Lets get it over with, I don't want my kids and grandkids to deal with this crap. NOG

When the choice is between a fascist and a communist then there is no choice to be found in that ballot box.

This should be the end of the GOP which is good; anyone for a constitutional small government third party?

Maybe that is what he who knows what is best always intended, that we his children find a new way that is the right way, a virtuous way, maybe that is why he gave us Trump & Hillary(the devil was in the garden of Eden for us to make a choice there too), so that we can finally choose; will it be the dark side (either Trump or Hillary) or the light, don't ya know!

5 Facts You Need to Know About Merrick Garland

On Wednesday, Barack Obama nominated Judge Merrick Garland to replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court. Here are five quick facts you need to know about Garland.

1. Garland is considered anti-Second Amendment. As the National Review noted last week: “Back in 2007, Judge Garland voted to undo a D.C. Circuit court decision striking down one of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation” and voted “to uphold an illegal Clinton-era regulation that created an improvised gun registration requirement.” Obama will use his pick to pursue a gun control agenda.

The Pot Is About To Boil Over

Pay attention this election cycle people, because it's like none in modern US history. The people in this country are fed us with the status quo. Conservatives and Liberals both want the establishment politics, and crushing corporate influence in our government gone and to usher in drastic change.

The problem is that they can't agree on jack shit, so nobody is getting the change they want.

-We have the typical collectivist minded college/hipster kids who want socialism and handouts.
-We have a few different minority groups who seem to want superiority, not equality.
-We have some fake conservatives who want safe, status quo, corrupt as shit government.
-We have individualists who want to be free to prosper and live free of an oppressive government.
-And lastly, we have spineless traitors on the television promoting hatred and divisiveness.

People on all sides have had it and are obviously willing to go to some new extremes to voice their concerns. Personally, I expect some big protests, that will lead to a heavy police response or intense counter protests. This WILL lead to what will later be referred to as the first shots of the new Civil War (though some may argue thats already happened).

Prepare yourselves.

Reading the comments makes me realize just how divided and fuqed we really are. I fail to realize why Cruz is so hated by Conservatives. He is (for one thing) the only candidate who actually believes in the 2nd Amendment and has proven that. Trump is on record for not being so very strong on that item. Do you really want to put the power to appoint at least two and maybe 3 justices to someone who does not consider our right to "keep and bear" to a billionaire elitist who lives in NYC? Trump tells us to "trust him" and he will make America great again but no vision on exactly what that might be ..... sort of sounds like "hope and change" to me.

I guess it really doesn't matter anyway, we have sewn the seeds of our own destruction for a long time now, including our own inability to even come together as patriots to put a stop to it. Now that it is completely out of control there is little that can be done short of bullets flying .... believe me that will be a real bitch!
