The renewal shows the committee is resolved to continue to pursue all legal avenues to compel production of documents. Of equal certainty is that Holder and the Department of Justice will continue to resist further releases beyond a December “document dump,” relying on claims of executive privilege and the slowness of court processes. Unknown at this time is whether potential Holder replacement Loretta Lynch will continue with that resistance if her nomination is confirmed. Also unknown is how much of a focus the Senate Judiciary Committee will place on that in her hearings, particularly now that the Republican membership advantage has been increased, and Chuck Grassley, who made Fast and Furious a priority as Ranking Member, is the new Chairman.

I was pleased when Rep. Chaffetz listened and actually pick up on F&F after I called his office. I don't hold out much hope for him anymore, other than to play the political coup counting game. He seems too bought and paid for by the establishment now. Time will tell, that's my cynical prognostication.
Resolved to continue to pursue....
YUP -and that's all it will amount to for two more years. Then, after the next presidential cycle, the next occupier of the office will say "we are going to move forward instead of looking backward."
Grassley is chair? So what! He'll just make another deal to pass the judge on a promise for more info sometime in the future. Sorry, I know he picked it all up, but someone got to him and he put it down - just like the others.
As for the new AG, she will be confirmed without being plastered just like sotomayor and Kagen. Then, she will claim she needs "time" to settle in and "find" info requested. Gee, that kinda jives perfectly with where I started this comment - the next two years will be more stalling and more excuses.
Just like benghazi- all the top dogs knew all about it. Exposing the whole truth means exposing that they all knew - which explains the years and years of stalling. They are all in on it. Playing us like suckers....
