Well, I'm glad he got that off his scrawny anonymous chest.

Received this in response to the post of Ryan Payne "stolen valor" post below"

You do everything you can to undermine and destroy the liberty movement. As you have worked tirelessly to destroy the Bundy ranch Militia's cohesiveness and trust in each other, while promoting enemy law enforcement infiltration units like "constitutional sheriffs" and Oath Keepers. Mike in the last year you have made yourself one of the worst enemy's we have, working to destroy everything you claim to support, and you can't understand why you are as popular with the militia as Obama, and have the credibility of Alex Jones. You will die soon and rid us of your drivel, G_D speed the day.
"Mike in the last year you have made yourself one of the worst enemy's we have."
Well, my anonymous friend, your death wishes for me aside, I suppose that depends on your definition of "we". Who is "we," exactly? The believers in fake Rangers, sociopathic provocateurs, poorly-disciplined and dangerously unskilled-to-arms faux "militia," horseshit and wishful thinking? If that's the case, then I suppose your indictment rings true. But that last slash about Alex Jones is the unkindest cut of all. THAT is, in my humble opinion, untrue.

I am a fan of your fierce independence and I appreciate all you do for liberty, however, I will never understand your hatred of Alex Jones. I have listened to Alex Jones for years, and I have never seen him discredited or a liar. In fact, I find him a man of excellent character and loyalty. No one can keep an "act" together 3 hours a day for over 20 years. He is the real deal and I would be honored to be considered his friend, as I would be honored to be considered yours.

Dear Anonymous: with friends like you, who needs enemies?

Take a kindly word of advice: TALK YOURSELF DOWN. YOU'RE NUTS AND POSSIBLY A DANGER TO THE REST OF US.

Mike,
Congratulations on Zoe's graduation! Your children are your greatest legacy and it's obvious you have nothing to worry about.
As for "anonymous's" rant, treat it like the barking of a dog when you walk by. You know it's the nature of the dog to yap and there's nothing you need to be concerned about.
Thanks for all you do.
Best wishes,

Hey Mister Anonymouse- perhaps you could tell us all more of what the voices in your head are saying to you. You see, MOST of us here approve of- make that admire- the work that Mr. Vanderboegh does. If you feel otherwise and can control your hateful spew for a few seconds, then list some of the bad things that the voices have informed you of about our friend the Dutchman. And anyone who wishes a man dead SHOULD ideally have the BALLS to at least SIGN HIS NAME to his rants. Hoping that YOU get what you so richly deserve, Sam Manila

This guy is trouble, baby.

That anonymous poster doesn't appear to be the brightest bulb in a rather dim bunch.

As a serious student of history, and being an able-bodied adult male, I am a militia historically as well as today, and even statutorily today in most of the several states; even those run by the collectivist freak show that sully the good name of John Locke and many others when they so inaccuaretly call themselves "liberals".

Living behind enemy lines in a "blue" state, operational security pretty much demands that my peers and myself remain less formally-defined than the organized militia than our individual skills would otherwise suggest.

All that said, Mike, you've always been a solid source for the full unvarnished truth, and the reproofs, rebukes, and exhortations you've done on the Bundy situation have been sorely lacking in the rest of the so-called movement for liberty.

These childish cammo-clad clowns are dangerous because they lack any semblance of discipline, and good discipline flows from competent self-awareness. They see themselves as rugged individualists, while lacking the sense to know that successful individuals are successful because they know there are times to lead, times to follow, and times to get out of the way. And that these men (and I use that term lightly when describing these unprincipled, unskilled, uncooperative and ignorant boobs) are the existential threat to the cause they claim to care so much about. I'm of the same generation of many of them, and basically attribute much of this to those who believe artificially-inflated self-esteem can ever be a substitute for good character and the ability to apply knowledge that can only be gained through a life of self-discipline.

All it takes is one of these dolts who drives hundreds of miles from their menial existence who see nothing to lose from creating the next Fort Sumter, and it doesn't matter how many battles are fought, the war of principle can never occur.

I fear the consequences of such unrestrained individuals even more than I fear all but the most skilled federal/SPLC infiltrator. They talk about cohesiveness in a unit, but they are fundamentally incapable of acting in a manner to foster such traits, let alone in larger groups of people not in their individual cliques.

Continued from above:

And the Oathkeepers should be knocked internally and amongst friendlies for their tactical errors, as well as their lack of an overall strategy on the Bundy Ranch, but that's water over the dam to be learned from in the countless debriefing sessions that have occurred and will continue to occur, and applied to every single situation going forward, without exception.

Anyone who considers Constitutional sheriffs to be anything but our most important domestic ally deserves to be put in stocks for the safety of any unit, irregular, regular militia, or regulary military. They have no comprehension for the conceptual validity of civil law (or as I like to call it, the discerning man's proper contextual understanding of Romans 13), and if they don't understand the concept of the Constitution, then they are fundamentally incapable of putting a principle above their own personal feelings -- and in such a situation where it comes to arms, must be kept from their fractricidal proclivities. The Constitution -- and those in their lawful capacities as sworn officers of that highest civil law in the land -- are the best means by which the low-information masses can be persuaded to side with the rule of law over the rule of some men. Because let's face it, most people can't readily (or ever) distinguish between the two.

And I know I'll get flamed for this for all sides, but even as I pray Alex Jones would try harder to, you know, not be so Alex Jones-ey and fringe-ey, he is the side of liberty 100% of the time. It's some of his more feeble-minded followers that I am concerned about not comprehending the most elemental aspects of liberty. I think writing him off entirely means the threeper message will continue to be co-opted by the Kerodins out there. Jones has done a commensurate job opening up people's eyes to COINTELPRO and the like, so my advice to people is take the oddball stuff with a grain of salt. When honest God-fearing Americans come to the realization that Morris Dees, the SPLC, the FBI, et al, were all co-conspirators in OKC in 1995, the movement, it typically isn't because of a reader of SSI, it's because of Alex Jones. I wish the NYT would cover the case of Jesse Trentadue, but Jones is pretty much all we've got. Let's learn to live with it as best we can and try to profit the cause which is larger than ourselves.

I disagree. The III percenters are the organized militia, as is all retired, or done with service Oathkeepers.

Our forefathers required in the US Constitution that we be trained.

Joseph Stalin, in 1933 said to our leaders; ”The United States should get rid of its militias”.

And they did. There can be no takeover of the US federal or state governments as long as there are Militias. Because the US Constitution assigned these duties to the Militias:

- Enforce the US Constitution and each state's Constitution,
- Enforce and keep the “Laws of the Union” (which is constitutional laws ONLY),
- Protect the country against all enemies both domestic and foreign, and
- “to suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions”.

There is no other governmental body, including a professional LE at federal or state level, or military that has that authority.

Mike, while an anarcho-capitalist myself, I understand we won't get there instantly. I suspect that poster was a newly-minted anarcho-capitalist, who views any attempt at incremental liberty as capitulation to the state.

That being said, I salute your good work on behalf of this particular aspect of the liberty movement. You're doing the work of the angels, Mike.

Grammatical errors aside, and factual errors aside, well, there's nothing left in his comment.

there has been a considerable amount of obvious disinformation on the alex jones sites over the years. stuff that was so obvious that either he's clueless, or wants to fool someone. for example..there was a picture he used quite frequently , an aerial shot of a fenced in area with white buses that were supposed to be "UN prison buses with shackles on the seats to take patriots to the FEMA camps" if you actually go to the location, you can see they're USN buses (the navy always paints it's vehicles white..been like that since the 1920's) equipped to transport people from a classroom area to the crash-training/aircraft firefighting area. no shackles. no sinister purposes. he either deliberately used the aerial shot to mislead, or someone did it to him and he didn't have the intellectual curiosity to look into it deeper.

it's like throwing a Frisbee with some tinfoil on it and taking a picture of it, just a touch out of focus, then showing it to a UFO believer. tell him you saw it yesterday. while any idiot with some brains can tell it's a Frisbee, the enthusiast WANTS so hard to believe it's a UFO any evidence to the contrary is dismissed. they want so hard to BELIEVE that they even fool themselves.

Everyone makes mistakes when reporting stories. I for one am thankful for Alex Jones, Pete Santilli, the Next News Network, etc.. for reporting on the Bundy story and all the other stories not found in the MSM. They can all be a bit over the top sometimes, but being fired up for freedom is a good thing.

Whats wrong with Alex Jones?

That is a good question. I have been pondering that since the 90s when he was trying to co-opt the militia movement (post-Waco) to get more ratings.

I wish more folks had a longer memory when it comes to such things.

Allen said...

anon 8:24

these are more than "mistakes". if they were mistakes, he'd eventually correct himself and apologize or go after the person who misled him. that never happens.

this is more along the lines of willful sensationalism, or deliberate deception. I've seem quite a few stories from him where you get just enough info to get you to come to the conclusions he wants you to come to, but no more..even when the extra info is easy to obtain.

there was a story about a place that refitted older rail passenger cars..stripped them down, re-did the interior, ect. according to alex jones they were being "refitted to transport people to FEMA prison camps". it even had barbed wire around the fence around the building. we had a guy walk up to the front door of the building unannounced and asked for a tour..which they immediately obliged. even let him take pictures of EVERYTHING. no prison cars. the barbed wire was to keep people from climbing the fence and stealing rolls of copper wire and copper pipe..a common problem everywhere.

"special transports" seem to be a common theme, along with "UN vehicles". here's a clue..they're not going to refit tons of vehicles for special purposes like that and then park them when there are plenty of normal vehicles that will do the job they can just commandeer. same thing with "FEMA prison camps"..why build an obvious structure that would have to be manned to prevent theft and discovery, when you can park a trailer somewhere with fencing materials and tents and deploy as needed, and have a shake-and-bake prison camp in a day or so? also, if the plan is to just liquidate the opposition, why have a prison camp AT ALL? it's not like they'd have to store anyone for any length of time to wait their turn for a bullet in the head. at that point it's just body disposal duties, which could take place at any trash-to-energy plants. they don't need special facilities, vehicles, ect to do this.

our opponent are not stupid. they will not tip their hand before they are ready. and the more time we have to spend debunking the chaff put out by alex jones and others like him, the less time we have to prepare for the real stuff.

honestly, don't believe me. the next time he puts out a story that in your area, go look for yourself. don't take his word for it. years ago he put out a location list for all the "prison camps". we took the list for the northeast, and went and looked...we found exactly ZERO prison camps, or any structures that could conceivably be used as prison camps. some of the locations on that list were prison camps at one time..back in the 1940's. one of them was for germans in berlin,NH. somehow they're still on his list as active, usable camps.

we had serious problems here in the 1990's with groups believing alex jones and the "special forces resister" over their own intel..or even using such shows as a replacement for doing their own intel. they had elaborate plans for liberating prison camps that didn't exist..fears of soviet spetznaz battalions secretly hiding in the woods of rural southeastern Pennsylvania..massive columns of UN troops..hell I had one guy explain to me how the USS Olympia was a "UN owned battleship" simply because it was painted WHITE.

we claim to be rugged individualists, but our gullibility and inability to think for ourselves will be our undoing.

Judge a man by his fruits. What is Alex Jones fruit? liberty, liberty, liberty. Unlike Glen Beck calling for restrained and orderly "just wait until next election time to vote the rascals out", and "reasonable government", alex jones is all about liberty. Dont see how AJ is a traitor.

the white supremacists thought Hal Turner was on their side too. do you think they set up the program they used for hal turner for just one guy? if so, why call it a "program"?

alex jones should be about TRUTH and liberty. if we have all the liberty we can get, but have no truth, we are still enslaved.

have you EVER heard alex jones print a correction..to anything? an apology? an "I got it wrong"? nope. nor will you. that takes humility, and that's not something that man has.

false or sensationalized stories help out 2 people..alex jones and the government.

You folks need to develop a "BS" filter. Main stream and alternative media put out all sorts of half truths and propaganda, if you can't or won't think or investigate stories for yourselves good luck. No one source gets everything right 100% of the time.

I will tell you one fact about Info wars, David Knight and his cameraman were on the front lines of the "Battle of Bunkerville" the whole day. When I say front lines I mean fearlessly right up front in Danial Love's face. So was Pete Santilli, he was everywhere by himself with his IPad camera set up.
