"Getting back to the Constitution" by unconstitutional means: The mob who will "arrest Barack Obama." I have had numerous requests by readers to weigh in with my opinion on this harebrained idea wherein it seems that the Bonus Army meets Occupy Wall Street. My suspicion is that he might get a handful of credulous souls heavily leavened with federal agents provocateurs, threatening equal portions of derision and discredit.

On today’s JJ McCartney show, the organizer of Operation American Spring, Colonel Harry Riley, is the special guest who shares that OAS is ‘escalating’ and states are ‘mobilizing’ in preparation for this unarmed and peaceful march upon Washington DC on May 16th, 2014. Riley shares that ‘demands’ have gone out to every member of Congress and that getting rid of ‘criminal leadership’ via impeachment and resignations of corrupt officials including Barack Obama are their goals. Riley also informs us that OAS has communicated with law enforcement and shared their goals while warning us that OAS is totally aware that they cannot CONTROL everyone who participates in this March and that they understand a ‘false flag’ might be in the works by someone with non-peaceful intentions.

Mission: Restoration of Constitutional government, rule of law, freedom, liberty "of the people, by the people, for the people" from despotic and tyrannical federal leadership.
Assumptions: Millions of Americans will participate. American veterans and patriots are energized to end the tyranny, lawlessness, and shredding of the US Constitution. Government is not the target, it is sound; corrupt and criminal leadership must be replaced. Those in power could use force against unarmed, peaceful patriots exercising their constitutional rights. Patriots could be harmed, but not expected. There is no hope given today’s technology of secrecy for the effort nor do we want it secret.
Concept of Operations:
Phase 1 - Field millions, as many as ten million, patriots who will assemble in a peaceful, non-violent, physically unarmed (Spiritually/Constitutionally armed), display of unswerving loyalty to the US Constitution and against the incumbent government leadership in Washington D.C., with the mission to replace with law abiding leadership. Go full-bore, no looking back, steadfast in the mission.
Phase 2 - One million or more of the assembled 10 million must be prepared to stay in D.C. as long as it takes to see Obama, Biden, Reid, McConnell, Boehner, Pelosi, and Attorney General Holder removed from office. Consistent with the US Constitution, as required, the U.S. Congress will take appropriate action, execute appropriate legislation, deal with vacancies, or U.S. States will appoint replacements for positions vacated consistent with established constitutional requirements.
Phase 3 - Those with the principles of a West, Cruz, Dr. Ben Carson, Lee, DeMint, Paul, Gov Walker, Sessions, Gowdy, Jordan, should comprise a tribunal and assume positions of authority to convene investigations, recommend appropriate charges against politicians and government employees to the new U.S. Attorney General appointed by the new President.
*All actions in Phase 2 & 3 will be consistent with the U.S. Constitution.

"Consistent with the U.S. Constitution?" How's that, exactly?
There is not much time and the only planning necessary is to select a starting date, which we have done, and then show up in Washington, D.C. on that date, and plan to stay for the duration. The goal is restoring the US Constitution as the law of the land, removing the lawless leadership. Will this be a cake-walk? No, it will be painful, and some people may die because the government will not be non-violent; some of us will end up in a cell, and some may be injured. If that's what it will take to save our nation, do we have any choice? Freedom loving Americans will say there is no choice, we must begin the second American Revolution. Not with guns, but with millions of Americans demanding a return to constitutional government and the resignation of Obama, Biden, Reid, McConnell, Boehner, Pelosi, and Holder as a start...then the constitutional restoration process can begin. An AMERICAN SPRING can be avoided only if the above mentioned officials resign.
Okay, so let's assume that Riley gets his millions, even a hundred thousand. He won't, but let's pretend. And what are they going to do? It's all a little vague. Seize government buildings? Occupy the floor of Congress? Try to physically detain constitutional scofflaws? As attractive as the thought may be, it has a much greater chance of either demonstrating impotence, devolving into a violent cluster coitus for the cameras, or both. As a Christian, I am also uncomfortable with the hubris of the claim "God has ordained this." God can truly do anything, but declaring that He has "ordained this" is a special sort of messianic presumption, and it is no substitute for clear strategic vision and effective execution of a plan. IF everything works according to Riley's non-violent vision for his own troops, the best that can be accomplished is the optics of DC Metro cops beating up on peaceful demonstrators. If that was his only plan, then it would be doable, if improbable. But it is not. He has made a plan -- to the extent that it IS a plan -- that is flatly unconstitutional according to the Founders and self-discrediting to boot. In addition, in the interview Riley mentions Gun Owners of America as an organization that may support OAS -- a statement that he must know is flatly untrue. To even imply it is dishonest. Did God ordain that?
Pray for these apparently well-intentioned fools. They're going to need it. In fact, we all are.

let's see... if I were the tyranny-minded government that has already branded vets and Constitutionalists as "right wing terrorists" - and 10 million of these self-professed RWT's were to converge on the capitol at one time - and they came unarmed!!!???
Don't know what the OAS leaders think, but I'd recommend everyone else bring comfortable shoes and bottles of water, cause it's gonna get awful snug and warm in the cattle cars they'll be herded into.
There's more than a whiff of step two of the Underpants Gnomes' business plan about this venture.
When a real "American Spring" takes place, it will be spontaneous, violent and perhaps, initially,leaderless. The French and Russian revolutions, though perhaps not intended, will be the template. Planned, peaceful, demonstrations of outrage, are doomed to fail, as none of the corrupt officials are listening. They will close ranks, counting on the praetorian guard to keep them in power. The praetorian guard can be counted on to respond with draconian methods of violence, thus assuring the end of the beginning. Like all wars, the coming one will take on a life of it's own and no one (except a sick son-of-a-bitch) will like what they see. It will be both sides, sucked into a whirlwind, from which there is no escape, except to see it through.
Need to add Chuck Schumer to the list of required resignations.
Unarmed ain't gonna do it. If we can get 10 million, why not armed and willing to use their weapons? Those assholes won't fear unarmed people.
I think there are enough trees in DC to hang all of the offending politicians on the list. Call it "permanent resignations".
Eh, I wouldn't get too worked up over it. Just another (necessary) step in the run-up toward the full revolution - even if we think it is misguided in certain ways. Personally, I though this one was a howler:

Lots of events prior to the first American Revolution probably looked silly too.
Swift, the Russian (Bolshevik) revolution was far from spontaneous. Do a little research on WHO the bolsheviks were and WHO was backing them financially. You will be a little stunned.
I have been against this from the moment I read "go unarmed" in the plan description.
First, how stupid is it for that many conservatives to congregate in one place, unarmed, ripe for the picking?
Second, do they really think the corruptocrats will just say "ok" and vacate their cushy set-up?
Third, do the planners of this "event" even know there are tunnels all over the place for legislators to be able to get out of dodge?
Fourth, how many REAL commanders would tip off the opposition, if the operation was meant to be successful?
Stay home. You have work to do in your own districts, especially during primary season. Ah, maybe the light has just dawned.
If they show up unarmed, nothing will be accomplished. NOTHING.
The .gov thugs in D.C. respect only one thing: force. If you don't show up with equal- if not superior- force, your efforts are useless.
Oh, but there IS one useful benefit of showing up to this farce, without the proper tools, and game-faces on... it'll give the .gov thugs plenty of intel opportunities.

Capitol police beating and/or killing people who are peacefully protesting would go a long way toward swaying some of the fence sitters. The next round would be an armed mob showing up.
The OAS chat board has almost no traffic. My guess is that perhaps a couple thousand people will show, at best.
It seems there are still many people out there that desperately feel the need to be famous for "saving the Republic". It ain't gonna happen like this, and Riley should be smart enough to know that. The fact that he isn't sends me in the other direction, that and the fact that bringing my rifle would be frowned upon.
If "Law Enforcement" (used loosely) does indeed kill anyone involved, it would make little difference unless the death toll were very large. Of course there would be no reason to kill anyone because they're all unarmed. The feds aren't stupid, they're just insane. Riley however? Yeah, kind of stupid.
