America's Oldest Gun Maker Thumbs Its Nose At A Two-Faced Senator

"Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) lost his “assault weapons” jobs. Remington Outdoor Company (ROC) announced it’s moving its Bushmaster rifle and Remington Model 1911 pistol production lines from its nearly 200-year-old plant in Ilion, New York, to its new facility in much more gun-rights-friendly Huntsville, Alabama."

Won't be too long, when they move 870 production to 'Bama the end is near.

But Cuomo will replace the jobs with Yogurt factories.

Remington should have announced a move at the same time as Kahr arms did. The impact of the loss of jobs would have been a bigger sting to the left-wing politicians in NY. All strategies, aimed at left-wingers, should concentrate on the loss of revenue for the state.

Would have been even more effective had ROC moved all it's New York employees, 'fully expense paid' to 'Bama'. Take the jobs, AND the tax payers!

My message for the people at the Illion plant. Elections matter. The people of your state wanted Cumo for governor, now you have him. When the last one to leave the plant turns out the lights, remember, this is what you voted for.

Remington and the rest of the companies are making business decisions, when the make a move like this.

They are not engaging in strategies against the "left."

They SAW what happened to S&W, and are trying to prevent it from happening to them. They understand that they will not be forgiven by us. They understand that they will suffer, if they cause us to suffer.

I haven't bought one round of their ammo or any component since this began, and I may not purchase any until they move completely out. We'll see.

You see, I hold a grudge when it comes to my rights and freedom. Right down to the firearms and ammo dealer down the street!

Anonymous,

I get what you are saying, but at this point I think we should simply appreciate the fact that they are leaving NY and not worry so much about whether they did it for the philosophically right reasons or not.

There is a saying, and I know I am going to mangle it because I can't remember it well, but it goes something like "political victory is achieved not by preventing the right people from doing the wrong thing, but by forcing the wrong people to do the right thing".
