Tester shows true regard for gun rights in Post Office bill committee meeting

Crowing about a setback for gun rights advocates, the Michael Bloomberg-backed Moms Demand Action issued a press release Thursday expressing their pleasure that “the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs rejected an NRA-backed measure today that would have allowed concealed, loaded guns to be carried in post offices.”

No surpise here. Chuck U Schumer came into Montana in 2006 with 2 million in cash and bought the Senate seat for Tester. He's been paying it back at about a nickel a vote. Gary Marbutt said once Tester was easily pushed around by liberals.

If I carry concealed, who in the Post Office will ever know I'm carrying? ANd unless I do something destructive, who cares?
I will continue to mock and disobey such silly un-enforceable rules and laws.

I told the employees in my post office that I was carrying concealed and that I would always be carrying concealed. They actually seemed thankful that someone might be around who could save lives if someone went "postal". But then, I live in a pro-gun state and a pro-gun community. There are very few hoplophobes around here. As long as metal detectors or searches aren't used in post offices, I will be carrying.

Per Anon 12:23's comment; what we need to do is start a non-profit (aka a way to shove money into someones pocket but don't let me get off track) that is ANTI second amendment but that continually makes major blunders that even the libs can see the truth. Yes, it would be hard to out do the existing groups (MAIG comes readily to mind)but I am talking about a group that is so blantant that the fence sitters and ones who do not have a real opinion could be swayed against the controllers. Would it work? I wouldn't say for sure. Would it be fun? Absolutely.

Concealed means concealed. If you leave your piece in the car because some dumb sign tells you to, go ahead and check your balls with mr. Schumers receptionist on the way in as well.

I have NO CHOICE but to enter my post office. I am among those in this country who does NOT have home delivery. So tell me, as one of so many, and surely there are MANY NRA members in the same situation, why is that simple point not challenged in court?

Why isn't the NRA emassing simple point by point suits all across this country, creating a judicial avalanche that courts systems would tire of quickly and SETTLE?

Simple. Because the NRA is interested in dragging it all out as long as possible LEGISLATIVELY. This because the NRA makes more money BUT because the NRA believes a fundamentally flawed premise - that due process empowers government to legislate ANY firearms laws based on interstate commerce.

Post offices are the LEAST of our problems and legislating it isn't the solution. The NRA is a MAJOR player in perpetuation of the real problem - and it ain't playing on the side of gun owners or our rights. It's playing for government
