The Vigilante of Clallam County

Patrick Drum was tired of seeing sex offenders hurt children. So he decided to kill them.

Molesting children and rape should be automatic death penalty cases - period.

Got no interest in trying to "rehabilitate" such scum, nor do I want to pay for their prison space with my taxes.

It seems to me that when society at large, the State, and a corrupt judicial system give all of the advantage to the perpetrators of evil against children, and exact no justice for those broken and betrayed, men such as this may rise up more often in the future. Because of his self-sacrificial actions, at least two predators and abusers who had been freed by the system, will never again harm the helpless.
I was also sickened at some of the comments bemoaning the fact that the executed abusers 'had families' - for God's sake - how does that biological event either repair the families broken by their actions, or prevent their repeat acts, perhaps even against their children or ?
People whine for 'justice', moan about child abuse, wail that 'something should be done!" but then put on their robes of righteousness and condemn the ones who carry out the justice required.

Doesn't sound like such a bad guy to me. Practically a public servant.

He has the right character to run for the U. S. Senate.

If my toilet was leaking, I would tend to call a plumber. I'm a computer guy. I do not generally deal with toilets except at the user level. That's what plumbers do. But after paying the third plumber, and still being annoyed by a leaking toilet, I would be sorely tempted to take tools in hand and deal with it myself.

Specialization of labor is one of the keystones of society. We pay specialists to aquire and use the knowledge and tools needed to do a job we cannot or would rather not do for ourselves.

But when those specialists repeatedly fail at what we delegate to them, it's time to roll up our sleeves.

This guy just got tired of watching the "specialists" fumble their jobs. But as a hint to any other "Dexters" out there, you're better off acheiving some separation between yourself and your "work". Say, 100+ meters should do it.
