Praxis: The Bait Question in the Age of Computer Technology

The bait question is one of the oldest behavior provoking questions. It is a specialized question designed to introduce the possibility of incriminating evidence during an interview in an effort to entice the suspect to change an earlier response.

Don't talk to cops.

'Nuff said.

If they had something to arrest you, they wouldn't be talking, and you'd be in cuffs.

Don't give them a reason to arrest you.

Say nothing to cops.
