Praxis/Logistics: A great deal for all you small unit leaders with AK-armed folks.

AK East German 4 Compartment Assorted Military Surplus Mag Pouches Set of 12 for $14.99.

Back in the 90s, we would take these pouches which have belt loops on the back as below, and put D-rings on each loop.
Then we'd take USGI OD universal straps and make a shoulder-strapped unit out of it. This made it easy to stash with the rifle (especially the folding stock version) in a gym bag and yet have a serviceable way of carrying your ammo. To keep the rig from bouncing around, just use the over-sized loops to run your civilian belt through. The wide strap helps support the weight and the belt keeps it from flopping.
If you want to use the pouch on an LBE there are various ways to adapt it and if the raindrop pattern doesn't agree with you, well, that's why God made spray paint.

When I was a kid playing army we would make our own clips for regular military pistol belts. We made them from wire coat hangers.
