I hate to kick NYC gun owners when they're down, but this is the not-at-all unpredictable consequence of their compliance with the registration law in the first place. When bullies see that those whom they seek to dominate will submit to that dominance, they are emboldened to push the bullying still further. Now their choices are to comply, again, or resist--probably not in the cards for the sort who would comply with the registration edict in the first place. There was an alternative, you know.

To NYC gun owners, there is still an alternative. There will be no compensation, just, or otherwise, so resist. Get some steel in your spine and when they come to confiscate, use the damn magazines for what they were designed for. Theft, even if officially sanctioned, is still theft. Tyrants don't give a shit about the law. Defend yourself.
As an ex- NY'er I am absolutely dumbfounded that NY'er would ever putup with the open corruption of this pissant mayor and his corrupt NYPD Shitweasel Ray Kelly. Meanwhile his honorless pissant maintains a supersized security detail.. if NY'er had any balls these day their pissant mayor would actually need that detail..
