Some argue that TOC's approach is too "in your face" to be effective advocacy, and that is perhaps a debate worth having, if only for how interesting it would be to hear why one should be "polite" in demanding recognition of one's fundamental human rights. But Ungar went so far as to accuse the group of terrorism. Anyone that easily "terrorized" deserves to live in terror, and those working to strip Americans of their Constitutionally guaranteed, fundamental human right of the individual to keep and bear arms should be terrified of the backlash against their agenda.

This must be the left-wings interpretation of civil discourse. Nothing mean spirited about it. Just a little drama queening to earn a place as the Left-wing darling of the week.
Salazar was arguing that guns don’t make [politicians] safer, and that there are other security measures in place that could prevent unnecessary shootings.
“It’s why we have call boxes, it’s why we have safe zones, it’s why we have the whistles. Because you just don’t know who [your armed guards are] going to be shooting at,” the Democrat from Thornton said.
He added, “And you don’t know if you feel like you’re going to be [assasinated], or if you feel like someone’s been following you around or if you feel like you’re in trouble when you may actually not be, that you pop out that gun and you pop … pop a round at somebody.”
Fixed it!
Steve Spurrier was reported to have said something along the lines of "If they say nice things about you it's because you're not beating them bad enough."
So by that comparison we should be happy they're saying bad things about our side.
I figure that the polite approach is what long gun OC folks have - in general - been doing all along: empty chambers, chamber flags, guns slung down or to the rear, and mags empty or mags out. In short, we go a little out of our way to demonstrate we're not trigger happy lunatics, knowing that hostile media and hostile cops will use any excuse for a bad story or an arrest. Is it playing defense? Yes. Is it sad that it seems necessary? Yes. In the interim, the undecided folks see something a little odd, but still American, not a reason to dial 911.
