GSGV objects to my characterization of TSA as "nanny state fascist perverts."
CSGV blames NRA for Americans rejecting 'government monopoly on junk-touching.
By now, it's clear to most Americans that dangerous, suicidal individuals like Ciancia have ready access to military-style firepower because of the lobbying of groups like the National Rifle Association (NRA). They might not be aware, however, that the pro-gun movement is also equally responsible for disseminating violent, anti-government rhetoric, much of it aimed at the TSA specifically. . .
Mike Vanderboegh, the former Alabama militia leader and Fox News commentator who made national headlines after calling for the offices of Democratic Members of Congress to be vandalized during consideration of the Affordable Care Act, referred to TSA agents on his blog as "nanny state fascist perverts."
As Kurt Hofmann concludes:
As for Horwitz's apparent contention that opposition to the long train of abuses perpetrated by the TSA on the American people is a creation of the gun rights movement, perhaps he would care to explain why polling found that 61% of the public objected to TSA's heavy-handedness, and that the more one flies (and thus the more one is subjected to the TSA's thuggery), the more likely one is to harbor "TSA animus," as Horwitz put it. Perhaps he is admitting that the gun rights movement is far larger than he has previously been willing to acknowledge.
Anyone who works for the TSA needs to realize that as a part of such a loathsome agency, they have earned the hostility of those who are unwilling to allow the government to reach into our pants.

They are. I have a pacemaker and artificial joints. I have metal in me from combat. I do not feel I must disrobe or have my genitals touched just to travel by common carrier. I do not like flying anyway, so usually take the train. This whole TSA scheme is just to gauge and deter resistance to repeated intrusive searching. As shown in New Mexico, anal probing and searches are next. When vaginal probing and searches begin, watch out!
