"Connecticut gun ban signifies ‘new phase in history.’"

Yeah. Such phases are typically called civil wars.

Mike has said it before but I think it is worth saying again here:

There is only one reason why people are running out to buy firearms, magazines & ammo that is on the verge of being outlawed, and it's not so they can turn around and surrender their investment to the 'authorities'.

Tens of millions of Americans are purchasing ammunition at a rate that is unprecedented in all American history. Tens of millions of rounds of ammo sold every week!

I should also point out that since the start of the year, there has been a MINIMUM of 5 MILLION new gun owners EVERY MONTH buying their first firearm, in addition to the 20 million new gun owners in 2012: and nearly 4 million of those bought that first gun in late December 2012!

In addition to that, many gun owners whose firearm was a pistol and/or a shotgun, are diversifying their inventory to include rifles of common military caliber such as .223/5.56, .308/7.62x51, 7.62x39, etc... People who were previously only a one or two-firearm owner, now they are buying a rifle & accessories beyond magazines: load-bearing vests, military packs, boots, canteens, and other individual soldier equipment.

To us, it is obvious that many average Americans are preparing for a 2nd American Revolution. But perhaps to the collectivists and their socialist cheerleading section, they still don't see it! (OK, maybe the 'useful idiots' don't get it...) But I don't believe for a minute that the string-pullers don't get it - they DO... it's just that their hubris prevents them from admitting at this point that they have gone too far, the tipping point has been reached and the giant is awakening.

They believe in their supreme arrogance that the 1/3 of Americans that are armed and acquiring more individual soldier gear as time passes, can somehow be defeated by throwing enough gov't-issue bullets and DHS armored cars at the problem. Maybe in their arrogance, they think they can get a commitment from enough nations to send 'peacekeepers' to 'pacify' the population. I believe that there are tens of millions of Americans who see what I see; and who for reasons entirely their own have decided to keep quiet, keep prepping, and hope for the best.

However, as the Scumbag Puke Libtard Center (SPLC) notes, there has been 'explosive growth' among militias in the last few years - and the last few months IN PARTICULAR. Again, 3%ers know why. These are those who unlike the average gun-owner or prepper, understand that there is strength in numbers, mobility is survivability, communication is key, and victory lies in a coordinated response. And you can't do that if you're cowering in a survival retreat; sooner or later the homeland gestapo will catch up with you!

Yeah, 'new phase in history', indeed. When it's done, people will ask, "What did you do in the 2nd American Revolution"?
