I make a scientific discovery.

Vanderboegh's Law of Cast Physics: It is less painful to fall up the stairs than down the stairs.

The wound doc, somewhat pissed at me for abusing my foot in DC -- where, because of the mini-green zones and the sheer scale of the place I had to do much walking -- on Thursday put me back in a clumsy cast/boot arrangement on my left leg.

I made the above contribution to science based upon extensive experimentation on Friday.

The doctor's right to be pissed. They make scooters for people who need them and you qualify. So use one once in a while! Try to take care of yourself because we're short on replacements and some people are a lot harder to replace than others...; August 6, 2011 at 12:57 PM
