Another "Only Ones" Headline for David Codrea: New Orleans' Danziger Bridge Murderous Cops Finally Convicted of Something.

New Orleans Cops Guilty of Conspiracy in Katrina Shooting.

"The federal case follows an unsuccessful murder prosecution against seven officers, which fell apart due to prosecutorial misconduct."

This is why we can never give up our arms.
These "only ones" got off easy. Had those been armed citizens they shot the trial would never had been needed, only four body bags.
Now we need to lock up anyone having a hand in the disarming of the citizens of New Orleans. Yeah sheer fantasy I know.

"Prosecutorial misconduct", you say?

Now THERE is a real surprise!

It is amazing to me the shift in attitude towards law enforcement and the judicial system I have seen in my 33 years here on earth. When I was a teenager, most people thought of cops as good, brave sheepdogs in general, with the exception of blacks and hispanics living in poor inner city areas. Those people have always had a general disdain and distrust of law enforcement. Fast FOrward to 2011, and you will see a large percentage of middle age, middle class white people who's attitude toward the police and the courts that would be at home on a gangsta rap album. Hell, I wouldnt be surprised if there wasnt a country& western remake of the old NWA song "fuck tha police". I wonder if this change in attitude is due to the police and judiciary getting worse about violating peoples rights, or is it the result of technology and connectivity getting better at exposing it?

BC Texan- It is an interesting question you raise. I think it has something to do with American drug culture too. After the 60's, in the minds of many casual drug users, the police became associated with the Man coming down on a good time. They retained this anti-police attitude long after they quit turning on, tuning in and dropping out.

To that I would add, "and rightly so". Even for those of us who DID NOT "turn on, tune in, and drop out."

Clarion Content & bcTexan, I would respectfully have to disagree with both of you. I believe that the majority of the populous continues to think of the police as " good, brave sheepdogs in general". I do not believe that more than a few (approx. 13%?) of We the People believe anything negative about the police - or ANY arm of the government for that matter! Those same people swallow whole everything the MSM puts out and think that folks like us are the wackos and the ones to be watched.

I would love to be proven wrong. But I do not expect to be.

Sidebar: People, we HAVE to get the word about Oath Keepers out to our active duty Armed Forces members. When I shake the hand of and thank the folks I meet who are in uniform for their service, I also ask that they at least LOOK at the 10 Orders. To date I have yet to encounter a service member who has ever of heard of the excellent Mr. Rhodes' site. I am convinced that the only possibility of a swift and merciful victory for liberty when the revolution comes is for a majority of active duty Armed Forces members to stand by their oaths. I am not saying that - without a majority of the Armed Forces honoring their oaths to the constitution - victory is not possible, only that without them it will take much, much longer and that the world as we know it may well pass away. I am convinced that unless the majority of service members are committed to the ideals of Oath Keepers HUNDREDS of MILLIONS (if not BILLIONS) will die world wide.
