OMG! Juden Haben Waffen! That old gun control thing not looking so seductive anymore?

Fearing violence, U.S. Jewish groups create security infrastructure

And their "security infrastructure"?
They plan to talk and discuss.

As far as I can tell, the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith is still steadfastly pro gun control.

I suspect they will talk and discuss themselves right into another massacre.

These jewish organizations are not advocating for any RKBA. But for private security. Not supporting any RKBA that I can see.

Amazing how the rattling of cattle car doors openning concentrates the mind ...

I'm surprised any discussion of Jews other than fawning praise is even allowed on this blog. I was led to believe otherwise by recent experiences with censorship here.

Most Jews, though certainly not all, have traditionally been in favor of gun control.

There are certainly exceptions, such as the well-known JPFO. But even a casual review of the major names behind the push for gun control in the US reveals that they are overwhelmingly Jewish.

Why would a group of people who suffered from victimization in the past support gun control in the modern age? Probably because Jews are comfortable with their level of control over the US political process. Over FIFTY PERCENT of donations to the Democratic Party come from Jewish sources (reported in the Washington Post in 2003 -- search the Web), and the percentage is also high for the GOP.

Why would these people want an armed population when they already have so much influence over the most powerful government on earth? The US military fought a war for Israel in Iraq, and "our" spy agencies were found to be sending our intercepted communications to Israel (with the request that they not read communications between US government officials).

I think Americans are intent on proving Rabbi Ovadia Yosef and others of his mindset right:

"Goyim (gentiles, non-Jews) were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world – only to serve the People of Israel," he said, according to the Jerusalem Post. "Why are gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap. We will sit like an effendi and eat. That is why gentiles were created."

The above comments don't apply to all Jews as individuals or congregations. My rabbi was an NRA instructor and knew and welcomed myself and others who always carry. The congregation also engages the services of an armed security guard to protect the children attending Hebrew school.

Carl,

That's very true. No large group, whether Jews, Muslims, or anyone else, should ever be assumed to be ideologically homogeneous.

Not all Jews think like Rabbi Yosef. Not all Muslims want to forcibly convert people to their religion. (Consider the story of Saint Francis of Assisi and the Sultan al-Kamil.)

There are, however, supremacists in many religious and ethnic groups. Just as there are white supremacists and Muslim supremacists, there are Jewish supremacists like Rabbi Yosef. It is no more "anti-Semitic" to point this out than it is "anti-Italian" to discuss the crimes of Cosa Nostra.

It just so happens that people of Yosef's views have acquired a great deal of influence over the US government and media. This is an important reason for the persistence of the neoconservative "War on Terror," the triumph of many leftist causes, and the progressive loss of our civil liberties. Widespread, NYC-style citizen disarmament is one part of their agenda that they have yet to achieve. (Another is the widespread criminalization of speech that they find offensive, i.e., "hate speech.")
