Though, seriously, it used to be the custom that if a soldier defeated an enemy up close & personal, the soldier got to keep the enemy's weapon as a war trophy. I wonder, in this antagonistic PC age, if the SSGT was allowed that?

Except when they don't. I smoked a lot of pot in the Marine Corps. Half our squadron was stoned much of the time, the other half drunk. And I think the practice of "fragging" was against orders too, but it still happened. Military men and women are not robots.; July 17, 2013 at 11:09 AM
