Yeah, well I think Mexico needs a Second Amendment, President Cabron.

Mexico has a 2nd amendment.

Federal law will determine the cases, conditions, requirements, and places in which the carrying of arms will be authorized to the inhabitants.

Mexicans are happy enough with the corruption present in their country. Making it easier to buy retail weapons won't change the availability of weapons to regular Mexicans ( Mexican middle-class and wealthy have plenty of firearms, as do the Army and Cartels), who either can afford them now or can't.

Installing a culture of responsible middle and lower class gun ownership for self defense and militia use will be a politically-difficult thing in a country with such a wide chasm of (everything) between the tall white wealthy urban educated elite and the short brown poor ignorant rural farmer, especially considering that the elite enjoy the current arrangement and would resist change.

If Mexico had a 2nd Amendment, it would appeal to Americans who are fed up with their current administration and want more sun. There would be "hope & change" in Mexico, but not the kind Presidente Calderon would approve of.

" “So this is going to help create jobs, and it's going to keep us on track to meet my goal of doubling U.S. exports,” said Obama.

Obama also said that U.S. exports to Canada and Mexico are growing faster than exports to the rest of the world. In 2011, trade with Canada and Mexico surpassed $1 trillion for the first time."

Can't help but wonder if those export figures include the Fast and Furious guns.

“I know that if we don't stop the traffic of weapons into Mexico...then we are never going to be able to stop the violence in Mexico OR STOP A FUTURE TURNING OF THOSE GUNS UPON THE U.S.,” [Calderon] said.

Perhaps it will require a few more Brian Terrys being murdered before the US populace is sufficiently angered and demands that a fence be erected along our entire border with Mexco.

Well, we call on the Mex Prez for a ban on illegal drugs in Mexico. When he shuts down the drug cartels, he won't have to worry about illegal weapons from the U.S.

An aside: the scrambled words required to log a comment are increasingly hard to read. I have to refresh the words several times before I can manage to read them. I use Wordpress and Aksimet, and still catch all the spam and robots with no scrambled words. Your old system was easier to read.

Hey, Cabron! Chinga tu madre.

You want our guns, come and get them...I DARE you, maricon.

You want less violence in your own country, stop taking bribes from them and start killing them. If necessary, hire outside help that isn't corrupt, unlike 95% of your own country.

Ending our insane war on drugs would end their insane narco-war.

Mexico's 2nd amendment says you have a right to firearms, except those prohibited by Federal law, which is most of them. Kinda pointless, and illustrates why all guns here need to be legal, even the cool ones.
Also, if you have $$, and make friends with the right people, even a gringo can have guns in Mexico.
