IMMEDIATELY.

Further, this is not a "sound-byte" situation -- in other words it's not something that can be explained in the time available given the average sheeple's attention-span.

Ergo, to EFFECTIVELY communicate this to a large enough group to make something happen, we need the support of someone with a HUGE audience, the time to explain its nuances, and the COURAGE to tackle this.

It seems to me that there are a scant few options -- in fact I can think of only 2, maybe three. All of them have history, and there are reasons for folks to not like them all -- we need to put aside their imperfections and focus on what they can do for us!

As I see it, they are:

(1) Glenn Beck. Nobody's got a bigger TV audience, and his "style" is such that he routinely takes on complex topics such as this. Further, if he were to cover it, in detail, the rest of the "conservative media" would also be all over it within a day or two.

(2) Limbaugh. Nobody's got a bigger RADIO audience. This is a bit more difficult - it's hard to get certain points across over a radio - but I believe it's still viable. Further, his audience tends to be the sort of hyper-involved folk that will MAKE the calls, write the letters and e-mails, and get things DONE.

(3) This one's much harder to swallow, but... Alex Jones. Yeah, I know -- I KNOW -- but... you simply cannot deny the size of his audience, nor their ZEAL in implementing whatever "action plan" he puts out for them. Further, he's the sort of "damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead" type who will grab a bullhorn and **GO** and make a SCENE!

On the 'net, it's pretty much Breitbart. He cannot be beaten for the size of his audience, and again his readers tend to be the type who can follow a story that's a bit more complex.

Drudge may arguably have a larger audience, but he (AFAIK) only posts links -- so we'd better have an easily-understood summary ready to go, detailing every point and linking to the evidence that's available.

Further, REGARDLESS of how we spread the message, we need to give folks a simple (one click, if possible) way to write their Congress/Senate reps to demand the necessary hearings *UNDER OATH*.

I have some ideas, and will post them when I get them fleshed out -- in the meantime I suggest we try to get busy beating on Beck, Limbaugh and Jones, to get them to give this some IN-DEPTH coverage!!

DDDedicated_Dadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06375339835638311982noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7575061201749703300.post-36431243200171351892011-02-11T10:24:57.747-06:002011-02-11T10:24:57.747-06:00I live in AZ....where this tragedy happened. Our local 3-TV channel "covered" the story....but skewed the story to seem as if it were merely an "accident" that these guns ended up in the hands of cartels as the result of a sting operation gone bad....

Then, there's Brian Terry's stepmother....I don't know if they selectively edited her comments.....b/c the Grassley letter clearly showed she thinks there's a cover up going on....but on the 3-TV coverage, the audio simply stated that the gun that killed her son was sold in the United States.

Here's the 2 minute "story"....better than nothing I suppose.

http://www.azfamily.com/news/Was-border-agent-killed-with-gun-purchased-at-Glendale-store-115816779.htmlAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7575061201749703300.post-132320607807356852011-02-11T09:18:36.180-06:002011-02-11T09:18:36.180-06:00With family now calling the Terry investigation a ...With family now calling the Terry investigation a cover-up, the media fails to follow up?

The media has fallen far from what it once was. But then again, perhaps our "free and independent media" are "crafting" a response to the story and sitting on it, until someone else breaks it.

I still have one or two other routes to approach with this. We'll see what happens next week. If not, well I don't have to tell you the implications, and no one else should be under any illusions regarding the circumstances. Sorry, I tend to speak cryptically, what I mean is, that you may assume the worst, be angered by it, and then calm down and do your things.

Anyone in federal service should realize where this leaves them.
