The details of the story coalesce more coherently around a relationship which, while improper and illegal, would not be justly considered a violent crime...at least not against her. This doesn't mean it is impossible she is telling the unvarnished truth, but her story simply appears somewhat embellished.

That said, I hope they nail this skeevy perv to the wall, upside-down, so that he can still drown in his own blood. Yes, young girls in bad situations can decide that seducing a man in a position of authority is their best strategy. We've known this since before the dawn of history. That's why we should either legitimize the strategy or severely punish any man in a position of authority who falls for it.

35 years is far too long for this POS to be left in a position of life and death authority over anyone if he can't resist the advances of a teenage girl who wants a quid pro quo. He probably isn't a rapist as such, but he has spend a lifetime legally authorized to commit crimes just as bad based on the presumption of strict moral probity and adherence to the laws. Stopping him from advancing any further in power is a bare minimum necessity, actually punishing him is probably not going to happen under our corrupt system.

But there will be a reckoning for this. Even if it's true, and admitted to by both sides?

B Woodman
III-perAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7575061201749703300.post-46623751156346488582016-03-20T11:44:16.280-05:002016-03-20T11:44:16.280-05:0035 years???35 years???Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
