That old "tyrant's heel is on thy shore" thing.

Hmmmm. NRA life member, veteran, and the NRA is silent in addition to just leaving this fella hanging. Imagine that. Article says the man who was shot broke on the door. That's felony breaking and entering. Other damage he had already done to the homes inside points to a violence prone individual. Told to leave means dude was trespassing and disregarding orders to back off to the tune of advancing within the home means well it means he got shot for that errant choice.

Fair enough, the wife may well have led that fella to think he had a chance at "more" but it was also a poor choice to chase after a married woman. Husbands tend to defend their wives in such situations.

There is NO duty for a person to call 911 BECAUSE police have NO DUTY to protect or defend you, your family or your property.

These wrongful arrests costing hundreds of thousands of dollars to defend against MUST end. All those responsible for arrest and prosecution should face criminal and civi rights abuse under the color of law.
Until those suits are filed over and over and over - until courts are literally FLOODED with cases against government officials- this madness will continue.

LEO uses economic warfare against people trying to scare them into pleas. They love their CUSIPS. It's time to turn that tactic right back on them.

Seems there might be more to the story. Seems the departed had been living in the home, possibly having relations with the wife while the husband was away. Husband comes home, departed loses his booty call, along with his easy living, ends up dead.

More states need to adopt the Castle Doctrine. We do not have that here, and I am concerned, as a handicapped person, what contortions I must go through before permanently stopping someone who breaks into my home. We have a liberal, anti-gun State's Attorney in our county. Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6, I guess.

This case is not a clear cut matter of self defense. The wife and the dead "intruder" were engaged in a sexual relationship while the husband was on deployment. He wasn't hoping to get more, he was the wife's lover. This is not a clear cut case of self defense.

A lot of folks have pointed out that Mr. Green was probably intimately involved with Mrs. Pinkerton.
It's probably true. But that doesn't give him the right to kick in the door and force his way into the house.
Had Mr. Pinkerton had a brain and a sack, he would have let Mr. Greene keep his unfaithful bitch and saved everyone a whole lot of heartache.
