What a hoot. Look out, Mr. White Bread Liberal, Ronnie Barrett's gonna get yo momma.

What a hoot. "Electronic entertainment like Nintendo’s Super Mario series of video games threatens the gun industry’s crucial 'youth market.'” -- VPC.

totally biased article, as expected. As for the FN Five-seveN AP (Armor piercing) rounds are restricted to LEO and Military only.........

Prior to WWI, the most popular rifle in America's hunting scene was a lever action repeater decended from the Henry (That damned yankee rifle that you could load on sunday and shoot all week) that was used by Union cavalry in The Civil War. After the armistice in 1918, thousands of returning veterans wanted to hunt with a bolt action like they handled in the army. Years later, after WWII, returning veterans wanted semi-auto's like the Garands and M1 carbines they had in the army. Now America's veterans of the last 50 years want an AR15 platform similar to the M16/M4 that they trained and fought with. And the leg wetters at the VPC want to make an issue of that? Firearms advancements by the military and their adaptation to civilian firearms have been the driving force in America's civilian firearms market at least as far back as the 1870's. The VPC is just discovering this?

BTW Josh, my son loves his Rock River M4. Just thought you might like to know ;-)

Here is the money quote

"Most insidiously, the gun lobby’s exploitation of fear—racial, ethnic, and political—
encourages resort to armed violence among the most impressionable and ill-equipped to
function in a complex society."

So we are all so impressionable and ill equiped to function in todays oh so complex society. We just need the leadership and guidence of the progressive elite to keep us from shitting on ourselves and drooling in our vegan meals.

Fuck-wads

Nintendo? Super Mario Brothers? Are those games even in production these days?

Way back in 1980 I worked for the FAA, we had a Federal Firearms License in our facility (located at a major regional airport), UPS dropped the guns off at our door. One wonders what the VPC would make of that, plus we had Shotgun News delivered there too, back when one could buy a new Belgian FAL for less than $1000.00, those were the days.

Concerning dropping gun ownership among the younger population. Anyone looked into the number of that group with mala prohibita felony convictions?

Still think the war on drugs is waged purposeless?
Sure does remove a lot of 2cd amendment rights.

Page 20 (25 of the pdf itself) talking about the FN 5.7 is most amusing. Apparently its the fault of FN and militarization of the civilian market that major Hassan shot his fellow soliders, not because he was a nutter traitor terrorist.

Peace, love, servitude.

FN5.7 AP is available from your local enough-English-speaking Mexican drug/gun dealer, who is BTW, an undesirable illegal alien. PS-90/magazines/correct ammo is an expensive package. Better to get something that shoots 150 grains with lotta mags and lotta ammo.

"The gun industry, the NRA, and the gun press have exploited
every real and imagined public fear since the 1980s—including the terror attacks of
September 2001, Hurricane Katrina, “spillover” of border violence, and concerns about
violent “illegal” immigrants. "

If they couldn't get jobs, housing, or sympathy, illegals would mostly leave. Failure to comply with the rules of our civilization would be less of an issue.

The VPC is out-of-touch with the USA.

Cheers.

For pdxr13:
The VPC may indeed be "out-of-touch with the USA" citizenry, but they are very much IN TOUCH with much of the USA "Leadership". At ALL levels.

The first thing I did when I got home from OSUT back in '05, at the tender age of 19, was go out and buy a brand new DPMS Lite-16, a dozen mags and a case of ammo.

They are, and in as much demand now as they were in the 80s.

With that said, even the Wii has a version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that will teach the basic usage of a red-dot optic, how to change magazines/use the operating parts of modern weapons, and the importance of cover.

Odd they didn't mention that.

Also, one shouldn't DARE post an anti-gun remark on a video game website blog or forum. Other users will mob the commenting user into submission.

What a load of crap.

I find it (probably unintentionally) ironic that the piece cites explotation of racial fears, when a brief research session can show you that much if not most of gun control in america's history, is rooted in that very thing.
