That means all of us on either side of the border should be able to pass over freely. It was intended to be that way because the Jay Treaty is a Treaty of Peace between Nations as recorded in the first article. And, according to article 28, the Jay Treaty still applies today!

ARTICLE III:
"It is agreed that it shall at all times be free to His Majesty's subjects, and to the citizens of the United States, and also to the Indians dwelling on either side of the said boundary line, freely to pass and repass by land or inland navigation, into the respective territories and countries of the two parties, on the continent of America, (the country within the limits of the Hudson's Bay Company only excepted.) and to navigate all the lakes, rivers and waters thereof, and freely to carry on trade and commerce with each other.
Article 1 shows that the Jay treaty was meant to establish peace between the parties involved which would include the citizens of the U.S. and Canada and First Nations.
"There shall be a firm, inviolable and universal peace, and a true and sincere friendship between His Britannic Majesty, his heirs and successors, and the United States of America; and between their respective countries, territories, cities, towns and people of every degree, without exception of persons or places."
This agreement
is supposed apply forever!
ARTICLE XXVIII of the Jay Treaty says "It is agreed that the first ten articles of this treaty shall be permanent"juliet ehlert gordonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02359861425568379220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7575061201749703300.post-15788684618862725752009-01-27T16:01:00.000-06:002009-01-27T16:01:00.000-06:00And that is why these will be built (hey, gotta ha...And that is why these will be built (hey, gotta have places to CONCENTRATE all us new criminals - to more easily assist us in our reeducation, of course):

H.R. 645: ... the Secretary of Homeland Security shall establish not fewer than 6 national emergency centers on military installations.

(b) Purpose of National Emergency Centers- The purpose of a national emergency center shall be to use existing infrastructure--

(1) to provide temporary housing, medical, and humanitarian assistance to individuals and families dislocated due to an emergency or major disaster;

(2) to provide centralized locations for the purposes of training and ensuring the coordination of Federal, State, and local first responders;

(3) to provide centralized locations to improve the coordination of preparedness, response, and recovery efforts of government, private, and not-for-profit entities and faith-based organizations; and

(4) to meet other appropriate needs, as determined by the Secretary of Homeland Security.

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h111-645Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7575061201749703300.post-46595185150474035892009-01-27T11:28:00.000-06:002009-01-27T11:28:00.000-06:00These thugs intend to turn us into criminals with ...These thugs intend to turn us into criminals with their illegal laws.

It's going to get to the point where people are going to think that it doesn't matter what they do, they're still going to be considered criminals, so they might as well just jump in with both feet.Crustyrustyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09478587825608882510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7575061201749703300.post-76846160257754589832009-01-27T09:37:00.000-06:002009-01-27T09:37:00.000-06:00thanks for highlighting my blog and thanks for tak...thanks for highlighting my blog and thanks for taking the conversation to the next level. Maybe they should listen to the words of one wise man, "be careful what you wish for. It may come true".
It seems I ask my wife daily, is it time? She always replies that we have to play out all the available options first and I guess she is right but I also think without folks like Mike and their blogs we would be in deep S.

WeaverWeaverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05570277329224724358noreply@blogger.com
