They oppose any and all firearms, and would like to have all animals made equal (except for those that are more equal).

The thing is, those Garands were loaned to Korea by the US govt. Korea is trying to sell us back our own rifles. The US govt should just say "yes, send them back and we'll sell them via CMP".

Otherwise, the Koreans are selling US government property to US firms, who will sell it to US citizens - while they're actually govt property paid for by our own taxes. They should be brought back and sold back to us CMP direct.ShortTimerhttp://thepatriotperspective.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7575061201749703300.post-52249518459856318282011-11-28T16:02:36.028-06:002011-11-28T16:02:36.028-06:00I hadn't heard of the "shoestring machine...I hadn't heard of the "shoestring machine gun" before. Even Senator Ted Kennedy testified in support of this bill as these heavy, old and cumbersome (by modern standards) battle rifles were not considered likely to be used to commit crimes."

--- and ---

"M1 Garands came home from all over the world -- from South Korea, Israel, Greece, various Latin American countries and Europe. Thousands of M1 Garands in storage in the United Kingdom were released for export, marked with British proofs and shipped out. Suddenly the collector market was flooded and the old battle rifle could be purchased for as low as $229.00 at one point."

--

In other words, for years lend-lease Garands have been trickling back to the USA from all over the world by the thousands and joining thousands more that have been in civilian hands. What problems, if any, can the Obama White House or the Clinton State Department point to that have involved any of the thousands of M1 Garands already in circulation?

Or is there something about these "Korean Return" Garands that makes them more dangerous than all the others including the two "Greek Return" Garands sitting in my gun safe?

Or is the difference that this President and this Secretary of State are even more rabidly anti Second Amendment that even the late Sen. The proceeds go to funding CMP sponsored rifle competition across the country. We should all be thankful the Hillary can't (for the present) do anything to block those sales.

http://www.thecmp.org/Sales/rifles.htmAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7575061201749703300.post-89878877652171924532011-11-27T12:37:37.369-06:002011-11-27T12:37:37.369-06:00Using Duckworth's logic: Voting rights should ...Using Duckworth's logic: Voting rights should be suspended.
