They haven't made that determination in the belief that they can't win if you resist. Therefore, they believe their display of power will cause the prospective victims to acquiesce, and if they don't, that they can destroy them due to their superior power and organization.

Engaging in philosophical, moral or legal discussion with them is a waste of time, unless the abused need the time to strengthen their violent resistance capabilities.

If any of the three discussions of the above had any chance to be fruitful and avoid atrocity the need for discussion would never occur because there would have been no decision to abuse.

Once the decision to abuse has been made there are only two avenues available to prospective victims. The application of force or the realistic threat of force.

Unfortunately, the realistic threat of force does not usually work. The reasons being twofold. One is that the abusers won't believe the abused have reached a sticking point past which they won't retreat. And why should they? By the time the situation has deteriorated to that point the abusers have usually enjoyed years and/or decades of success when the abused back up just "one more time". So, in effect, the abused have trained their abusers to expect acquiesence and subservience. Which of course is the second reason "the realistic threat of force" usually doesn't work.

Ergo, they call the hand and double down. It has worked for years, why would they not?

That leaves the only one avenue to liberty, force. And that is where I am afraid my nation is headed. We have trained them too well to believe we have no sticking point.

Once that avenue cannot be avoided there can be no truce, only total surrender of one side to the other.straightarrownoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7575061201749703300.post-53536245899412863372010-02-02T16:10:39.471-06:002010-02-02T16:10:39.471-06:00Nice, but I can't find Unclejaque's Soap B...Nice, but I can't find Unclejaque's Soap Box.
